Services Provided

Assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder is done in collaboration and consultation with a medical doctor or team of other professionals involved with the client. The ADOS-2, the gold  standard for diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder, is used.  Other assessment tools and the DSM V criteria are also included. 

Child Therapy includes providing parenting support, as well as counseling to children and family members.  A variety of tools and a holistic approach are used. Supervision of staff and, at times, direct intervention for young children with developmental delays or autism is available. 

Social Skills/Play Therapy Groups provide social skills to children with autism, ADHD or any social deficit in need of support (ages 5- young adult).  Children are assessed and placed into appropriate groups.  PEERS curriculum is used for teens and young adults.

Parent / Family Focused Early Intervention includes a 1.5- 2 hour initial intake consultation and completing an intervention treatment plan with parents input.  It is followed up with weekly 1-hour sessions with parents in order to provide ongoing support and update the plan as needed. Some interaction with the child and observation or videos will be used to best support the family.

Support is provided to families in understanding their child’s educational and therapeutic needs.  

Collaboration with other professionals and ongoing supervision to teachers / tutors is available, as needed.  

Assistance is given to families in understanding psycho-educational reports, and practical recommendations and implementation strategies are given. 

School-based observations and assessments are available to determine what a child may need to best succeed in a given school. 

Workshops are available to parents, teachers, organizations and allied professionals on a variety of topics, including;  Early Childhood Development, Practical Tools for Supporting Children with Autism, Introduction to Autism, Supporting Families through COVID 19 Quarantine, and many more. These are tailor made as required for the audience.
